Obtained my second Mac Portable today ($5). Inside I found an odd card.
In the PDS(?) slot was a card that said (Mac Portable 3mb RAM Card) made
by Sunland Micro Systems. It had no RAM card in the RAM slot on the logic
board and when I finally got enough juice in the battery to get it to
boot, it shows only 1mb RAM. The hard drive was toast (made a LOUD
squealing noise when it finally came on), but I swapped it with a known
good drive from another machine and it booted OK.

Any ideas what this card might be and how to put it to use?

Ken

Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.
