Thanks to everyone who sent a response. I have had bad experiences with tech support, but Asante were very fast to respond. I sent them every number printed on the card, the PB1400 plus a few others I made up. The response was a straightforward "won't work" with the reasons why. The 1400 just won't support this card, due to it being Cardbus/PCMCIA. The Cardbus bit throws it completely, even though the manual refers to PCMCIA type II as the unit's specs. But, I would like to especially thank Cameron Kaiser for the 3C589 driver! By some sort of psychic transfer thing, he guessed that the old PCMCIA card I had lying around was a 3Com 3C589 card. Cameron, can you pick some lottery numbers for me please? Thanks everyone, Gary
