My PB 5300 had some serious directory problems so I hooked it up to my
8500 in SCSI disk mode, initialized the HD and installed OS 9.1.

Chiiiiiiiimes ooooof deaaaaaaath!

Is 9.1 just too much for the 5300 (cheap grey scale with tiny memory)?
Is there an enabler that might not have been installed? Would the
installer assume that the drive would be used to boot the 8500, since
that's the machine the drive was mounted on?

If it just can't be done, then what system would *you* run on a PB 5300?

Thanks!

Hutch
