Hi all! I've got a 3400 that has bad AC connector flex on the motherboard... (grrr--should never happen, in my opinion)
I was looking for a new mobo (or kanga!) but it just isnt cost effective. Any tips on going about repair? Im not bad with a soldering iron---but not expert either. I assume a finer solder (so's not to overheat components) and such...but what will stop the problem from just happening again? I do recall seeing a post here many moons ago about hot melt *glue* on toshibas with this problem, to help stabilize the joint. Any ideas/thoughts/experience really appreciated! regards -jim justen st paul, mn -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
