I tried suggestions posted here, tried every thing suggested in the Service
Source CD....

The only way I can get my 3400 to "shut down" and stay off was to totally
disassemble it, remove part 661-1237 (the power board)...

Any how, it seems a lot of people here were having problems with their Mac
not starting up or this or that...

Any how, the PowerBook is now on the LEM swap list, pardon my shameless
post.
