This note should be clarified briefly.
IF you have the correct cabling, any "C" screen will fit on any CS 1400xx..
You MUST have the corresponding LCD data cable--the one that goes with the
LCD in question.. IOW, you can't put a 1400c LCD on a 1400cs unless you
use a 1400c Data cable (cable from the LCD to the motherboard). This is true
both ways (1400c-->1400cs or 1400cs-->1400c).
But of course don't let that scare you.. Just get hold of somebody who sells
the 1400c ribbon cable and put it on your unit. Or if you find an entire
good upper half (ie., the upper half of a 1400c), just bolt the whole thing
on your laptop, and you're set!
All said, it's not hard--just make sure you have the right parts in hand
before starting...
