I have a powerbook 520c upgraded to ppc that i am unable to see the screen. I also have a 520, i switched screens and both work ok on the 520. When the grayscale screen is on the 520 ppc, you can hold it in sunlight and see the screen, the only thing that you can see that is instantly wrong is at the bottom of the screen the brightness window is showing. It will go away for a little while if you try to adjust it with the brightness control on the side of the monitor but it will return shortly and you never have a change in the screen. Also you are unable to see or adjust the contrast control. When the screens are mounted on the 520 they both work and are visible.
