My trusty old 520c, which has been upgraded with a Newer PowerPC upgrade card and a 540c screen, has suddenly decided to play dead. It does nothing. The batteries seem to be charged. The power supply seems to be providing power. I pulled the hard drive and it worked fine in an external case (I retrieved my data). But when I hit the power button it just sits there.
When I had the case open I made sure that everything seemed to be seated properly on the boards. Any suggestions? I noticed that the local (45 miles away) CompUSA store advertises that they can repair any type of computer. Would this be a safe alternative? Any recommendation for other repair options?
