Hi all, My PowerBook 3400c has a small flaw on the bottom of the case. On the label on the bottom which says 'PowerBook 3400' along with the FCC info, is a little bump on the bottom left just under the word "Apparaten." It looks like something from inside the PowerBook has been pushed outwards against the bottom of the case, either deforming the plastic onto this bump, or puncturing it entirely. I won't know which until I figure out a way to remove that ID label without damaging it. (hint... hint...)
My point, I guess is that I wanted to know if anyone else had run into this problem, and if anyone knows what causes it. Right now, this thing's unbelievably minor, but I wouldn't want to see it worsen to the point where something punches out through the bottom of the case. I've never opened the 'Book up myself, but it came with 144Mb when I bough it second-hand, so it's a fair bet someone else has. Anyway, once this is stabalised, I imagine it could be easily fixed by removing the label, sanding down the bump and/or patching the hole, then replacing the label.
