Thanks for the details and yes, after further inspection....it is the wrong cable (18"). I was initially just trying to link the two so I could get a decent browser installed onto the 540c. Fortunately, I found my Stuffit Deluxe and was finally able to open the downloads taken from my 7300. As of this morning the 540c is running OS 8.1 using Netscape 4.8 on a 'broadband' cable modem. Thanks for all of your help! Now , I'm off to find the right cable! I'd like to have all of my options covered!
