Hi, everyone ...

We've got a G3 Series/233 Wallstreet with an apparently dead battery.
Despite attempts at restoring/charging the battery, it won't take a charge
(we used Apple's restore utility, or whatever it's called). The battery
indicator light doesn't come on, but the machine/software does recognize that
there is a battery in, whether in the left or right bays.

Given the high price of a new battery, I'd like to eliminate other
possiblities before spending those $$. What are the other possibilities? Is
there an external charger available for these batteries? Any suggestions for
troubleshooting at this point, or should I just assume we need a new battery?

TIA!!
Jean
