Sigh... GLOD* = Dead PRAM battery. I have a 5300 with exactly the same problem. Just can't bring myself to spring $25 for a steekin' watch battery... Resetting the power manager might fix it once or twice, but the root cause is an expired PRAM battery. It's to be expected... they're seven or eight years old now.
