I don't know what your problem is... Is your memory low- or high-density? Certain powerbooks can't take high-density RAM (The G4 can, maybe the Pismo, I don't think the Lombard can, and the Wallstreet cannot). Still, the memory controller should still see 128MB of your high-density ram even if it can't use all 256. Are you sure it was installed correctly? Have you tried re-installing it and seeing if it repeats its bad behaviour?
