I have just purchased a powerbook 3400c and was wondering if someone could answer these questions: 1. It is missing the screw in the middle of the base. I tried a screw from a powerbook 5300 and used the Torx 8 screwdriver, but the screw didn't grab any piece inside. Does this screw only hold in the keyboard, or is it important to replace? Is it the same screw size as for the 5300?
2. It did not come with a Disk Tools floppy. What was on the original, and should I make one? 3. Checking with the System Profiler seems to show only an ethernet card? (of unnamed type) so there must not be a modem inside. (the back port door is missing so I can't tell from the icon) Is it usual for the 3400c 80/200mhz/2g to have an ethernet card inside and no modem? 4. What larger size hard drive can now be installed? (it has 2 g presently and I wanted more storage) Also, is the brand of hard drive or rpm speed important? Thanks. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
