Hi I had this recently after setting up a friend with a 5200 on 8.1. Something I installed for her installed an 8.5 version of Text Encoding Converter into the System which Internet Explorer complained about. When I removed it Outlook Express wouldnt launch. Eventually I got the version from 8.1 and sent it to her. I havent heard yet but presume its ok for her now. I dont know what added the newer version though.
I use Tomeviewer to get to items within Apple installer tomes - its free. If you want a copy of Text Encoding Converter from 8.1 let me know.
