I am looking for a good multimedia laptop to run educational software for my autistic son. I need a book with good speakers, since much of his software uses spoken commands as well as visual cues. Weve been using my old 1400c until now, but weve had to attach external speakers since the 1400s sound output is so pathetic.
Would the 3400/Kanga be a good choice for this? I remember that they had those subwoofers built into the screen lid that were supposed to improve the sound qualitity. Another option I was looking into was the clamshell iBook; what about the sound output on those? I know that theyre going for much more than a 3400c would, but the sturdy design seemed like a good thing for a kids computer. Thanks in advance for any advice.
