I would just leave it be unless the battery life deteriorates, then
you might want to recondition it. Batteries have limited
charge/discharge cycles and every use takes something out of it.
Reconditioning takes more out of it.

No need to.

I'd recommend against it. The power connector on this model is
slippery and there were plenty of times I glanced at the battery
indicator and was suprised to see I was running on battery, the
connector had slipped out again.

The only machine that takes the same RAM is the PB190 and that isn't
100%. Checkout <http://www.memoryx.net> for memory upgrades. I
don't know if they are the lowest but when I bought mine they were
the lowest I could find.

OS 7.5.3 is fine. AppleShare (the protocol that FileSharing uses) is
independent of the disk format. Make sure the card has Apple drivers.

I've used an Orinoco Gold in my 5300c with both Orinoco's software
and Airport. I think that Airport only works on 8.something and up,
Orinoco's works with earlier OSes. Make sure you get v7.2, 7.1
didn't work with AppleTalk or something like that.

Yes it works. There is no "plain" PC Card but a Type II is probably
the closest there is to one.
