I don't have an answer either, but then 32 would then imply the new RAM
is a 24MB piece if the motherboard RAM is still recognized but not
showing in ASP. So, something still doesn't sound right.

Cathy thanks for the info about the wireless. Wow, and with
MacTCP-to-Jag compatibility as well. I would have given up long ago and
installed Open Transport 1.1.2 on the 7.5.3 machine, extra RAM usage be
damned.

Do I understand you to say that the older WaveLan software is still
floating around, but the cards are generally gone, and that newer
versions of the card (Orinco/Lucent) might only work with later
versions of (what?) software?

And to tie this in to AirPort, v1.3 may work with these cards and
install on non-AirPort-ready Macs? If so, what would a user be giving up
compared to AirPort v2 (or other officially supported drivers)?

All of this presupposes I of course have either an AirPort Station or
equivalent base unit or AirPort-equipped desktop Mac. Which of course,
I uh...don't. Maybe I'm better off hoping for a cheap Ethernet/modem
combo to become available for my 3400c. Wish I could get that 3Com crap
I bought working.
