okay

i opened my control panel (using 7.1.1) clicked on 040 cache control panel
it said enable for more power disable for more compatability i was having
probs installing software so i disabled i went to reboot and i accidentally
instead of command control power i hit the command power keys it brought
this wierd terminal thing so i hit the right keys and it rebooted then
though i get a message that 7.1.1 is not supported on this machine and i
need a later os that is i figure mabe i should re-initialize the hard disk
it failed i tried again it worked so i try reinstalling 7.1.1 it fails all
the time
it says my hard disk may be damaged i know now nothing was caused by the 040
cache (except the old message at startup about 7.1.1 being too old to run on
this machine which is gone now) but now i have a new problem explained above

why can i not install mac os why does it keep sayin my hard disk is
damaged
