Jim, the point Cameron made is that both drivers loaded prevents either 
or both cards from working. The solution is to disable the original 
Farallon extension but leave the hacked extension in the extensions 
folder. Rebooting should then see the 3com card functional. If not, try 
swapping cords, as the two are interchangable IIRC.

I think this does mean both cards cannot be active at once, though I 
don't know if that is at what you were aiming.
