Where might I find such a thing? I have been checking my old macaddict disks and other shareware diskies, and I can't seem to find an old Eudora. I have a zillion copies of old Claris Emailers, though. I used to support OE on peecees, and after all the bad experiences I had with it at work, I just don't fool with it at home. > > I purchased SweetMail ($28) for use on one machine > running OS 8.6, ... the ability to view the subject header of > incoming POP3 mail > without downloading the whole email first. "Remote > check" it's called. > Kill the spam while it's still on your ISP's server. Now that's handy. I used to have a piece of software that worked with the old compuserve interface that let you do something like that. It was really useful. Saved me a lot of money in dl time. > Drew > -- > Well, for my money (ahem, what money?), I'd go for > something like > Musashi or Green PPC. > > Green PPC: <http://www.eware.fr/dev/index.html> > Musashi: <http://www.sonosoft.com/musashi.html> Actually I downloaded both of those yesterday and am trying them out. I don't think I have Musashi set up right, but Green is performing pretty well. So far Green is winning the tryout. I guess next I should ask about what small browsers people like. Does anyone have any experience running Opera on a ppc powerbook? Part of what I am doing with the 5300 is doing the updates to my websites on the road. I need at least one browser that handles graphics and frames. (I check more thouroughly at home where I keep a bunch of programs on the desktop system.) I don't usually hook up the 5300 to go online, but I might do that more often since I just picked up a 56k pcmcia modem. So having a functional browser would be an advantage. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
