Hi group

I'm new here. So greetings to all.

A couple weeks ago I found a Mac PowerBook 165 at a flea market for $9.99.
I confess I have a tendency to drag home old Macs like kids drag home stray
animals. When I turn it on I get the start up chime. Then I get 8 musical
notes that let me know it is not happy. Screen lights up or at least turns
grey but no face appears. I have never had a PowerBook before so I do not
know where to start.

Is this a write off or is there something I can try that might get it
working again. By working I mean I would like to load and play games I had
on my old Mac Plus like Dungeon of Doom, Galax or Dark Castle.

I hope the night finds you well
Bernadette
