Wireless in a 190cs: I recently got a PB 190cs with 40Mb RAM. I installed MacOS 8.1 in Spanish. I tried using my Lucent Orinoco Silver PC Card on it. This card works great on my WallStreet with MacOS 9.2 in Spanish.. But in the 190cs, when it starts, a window appears with some mssg. like "The software needed to use this card is not installed. Want to eject it?" or something like that. If I press Cancel the card mounts in the Desktop, identified as "Wavelan/IEEE". I downloaded the drives from Proxim, but both versions install the same extension, "Farallon v2.xx", plus a Control Panel. However, after I restart the PB, the same mssg. appears, and the Control Panel says "There is no Farallon Ethernet installed", or something like that. About two weeks ago, there was a a thread about older PB's and wireless ethernet, but nobody said something about the older PB's that can use the Lucent/Orinoco PC Cards, like the 190's and the 520/540's with the PC Card cage. Any help? Anyone?
