Sure. I'm definitely not saying it can't be done, it just isn't a whole lot of fun and can take up to 74 minutes just to burn the CD. The SCSI Manager 4.3 bit I only brought up because some software likes you to have it (like later versions of Toast and SCSIProbe). I should have pointed out, though, that the 190cs requires termination. I don't have a 540c to judge this against, but in my experience, getting a 5300-class machine to work with SCSI devices can require a rather lengthy and frustrating Voodoo dance.
