Hello all... new subscriber here. I recently got back a Powerbook 520 that I had given away some years ago. It is in pretty bad shape, with the hinges broken and the screen completely off. I was looking to repair this machine, simply for the nostalgic value.
My problem is this, when I press the power button, I get nothing. At first I thought that it was the batteries, but it also happens when the power cord is plugged in. Is there some type of motherboard battery or something that could be dead and causing this? Or is there some way to reset the machine? I have tried this with the screen attached and detached... and get nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Can you please Cc: me as I am on the digest version. Thanks so much, and I look forward to learning a lot about these "classic" portables. Chris Malanga [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
