If I remember correctly ... The drivers installed by CommuniCard Installer v2.2, (which came on my 8.1 install CD) works without problems on my 1400 under 9.1. However, the drivers installed by the CommuniCard Installer v2.3, (downloaded from the internet) did not work. My best guess is that the 2.3 software only installs version 3.0 of the Card & Socket Services. The 1400 only supports version 2.0, (version 3.0 is for 2400, 3400 and later powerbooks).
