Here's a link about recelling a 5xx Batt. http://www.wwc.edu/~frohro/520_Fixes/520_&_540.htm Before you do however, try this: With the batt out of the slot, launch intelligent battery recondition. when it asks for a batt slide the dead batt in. It should go into extended precharge mode. It may take several times, but I've got a few completely dead ones back. Also helps to alternate with EMMpathy in between IBR Rick
