Well, let's not forget that the CPUs have code names as well. The PPC 604e (with inline cache, as on the higher-end 8600/9600) was code named "Mach 5" and the first G3 was code named "Arthur." Heck, Arthur even had an image of Excalibur etched into it. Sahara is IBM's code name for current G3s, I believe... I never bothered learning about the G4 code names... But my favorite are the LAPTOP code names: M2 for 5300, Cooper for the 3400, Kanga (sometimes Mainstreet) for the 3500/G3, Wallstreet for the PowerBook G3 Series, Lombard/101 for the PowerBook G3 (bronze keyboard), Pismo for the PowerBook G3 (Firewire)... AppleInsider used to have a nice list of codenames for Apple products.
