Usual boot problem with CD drives is they almost never (default settings
anyway) supply the bus with termination power, where HDs almost always
do. As PBs don't supply the term power either, a CD drive (unless
jumpered appropriately) frequently won't even show up on the scsi bus.
Cure is to open the CD drive's case and jumper the term power pins, if it
has 'em anyway. If it doesn't, adding another device that _does_ supply
term power usually works.

Just something to keep in mind next time a PB and CD drive are giving you
fits. : -)
