Hi all This is my first posting to this list so hello to everyone.
I've just acquired a "broken" Powerbook 5300cs very cheaply. However, it didn't seem to have anything wrong with it apart from a flat battery! Anyway, I've just put MacOS 8 on it, and now every time I boot with the Shared Library Manager enabled I get a "bus error" and have to restart. It works OK with this disabled, but then I can't use Open Transport and the Setup Assistant hangs Does anyone know if upping the OS to 8.1 would fix this (another 13 floppies :) ) or if there is another way to get it working? Also, is there a known clash between the game "Spaceway 2000" and MacOS 8? I can't get it to work, but it still works nicely on my PB190 with OS 7.6. Any help appreciated.
