As far as I know, the 1400 does not support USB without modifications. I seem to recall that MCE <http://www.mcetech.com/> had such an upgrade but don't see it on their website now.

Subject: floppy drive for 1400

Does anyone know where to get a decent (cheap) 3.5 floppy disk drive
for a PB 1400c? The replacement with exchange for the built in is $89.
External USBs are about $40, but I don't know if they make a drive
that can plug into the back of a PB (SCSI 30 pin or ADB or something
to make a USB port). Is there a cheap USB adapter for the PC card slot
or something? HELP!

Thanks!
Jeff
