it freezes when trying to mount the hd, could be various reasons, i never met this in a powerbook but in other macs, and my fix has been to disconnect the powerchord to the hd and reconnect it when the mac has started from cd or another hd, but this is risky and a would imagine almost impossible in a powerbook, because you need to have it open when you start it, i hope someone else has a more refined aid to offer. the problem is a broken rootstructure or a broken hd, or just that finder/system has becomed renamed , anyone suggestion of any program that can delay the diskstart ? kenta -- -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
