Have you stripped and checked all the cables etc? also have you removed the ram chip and started? if it does then reseat it and start again! after turning off of course. Also check all the other cables like hdd and ethernet card and then check the two little pcmcia release buttons right next to the screen cable as they can work loose and knock things out of place. Please follow the other advice you have been given also but do not low level format that drive in scsi mode or you will also be looking for a new drive. (been there done that and it cost a lot to replace a 10gb hdd when you just paid for one )
