Drew, I finally got a chance to look, and I've not followed this thread in detail, but I'm using the 6.0.0.4 Wavelan drivers for my 1400/G3 OS 9.1. IIRC they were in a ftp dir from lucent/agere/whomever in a link that their tech support gave me. I searched my inbox but Eudora's search is sucky and it hasn't leapt out at me yet. I need to switch to a different email client. I set up my wireless perhaps 9 months ago at most, and I got a prompt reply back from Agere (I think) when I emailed. IIRC correctly to use the newer/newest drivers you had to upgrade the firmware on the wireless card. I didn't wish to do that. But my Lucent/Orinoco Gold (I know you have Silver) works just fine with both WEP modes etc and the 6.0.0.4 wavelan driver. If you can't find them let me know and I'll see if I can dig up the email, or find where I stored the installer files (I've been bad about indexing my CD-R on Disktracker, lately). Also, there are successful reports of people updating the silver cards with the newer firmware to get the 128bit WEP, which is the only difference between the cards as far as I've read. My feeling is, WEP is broken, who cares 128 bit or not, someone still only has to sniff 100k packets or so either way :) HTH. Brian -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
