Greetings:

I don't know if anyone can answer this, but I've a PB 190
with a 30 gig Travelstar HD under OS 8.1 (I use my PB as my 6320's
full backup device). The PB's folder disk size menu and Control Strip
disk memory meter always register my drive size as 1.99 gigs yet when
the same strip meter on my 6320 and its own file size icons during
file sharing registers the true full memory size of my Travelstar
drive as 23 gigs. Is there a reason why this occurs?
One more thing. I think I should've partitioned this disk
beforehand. I understand there's a program that can non-destructively
partition disks or create HPF+ files. Even the smallest file on my PB
190 takes up 488k, _way_ unlike my OS 9.1 6320. Any experience with
this?

        Thanks!

        JimWG
