Don't forget, I seem to recall that the original poster had mentioned not
having the 8.5/8.6 installer(s) available.  That indicated to me that the
debate was staying with the already existing 9.0 or updating to either 9.0.4
or 9.1.  Personally, I've not yet tried anything but 8.6 on my 3400/180s, as
I believe this is likely the OS 'sweet spot', especially if one keeps things
like CarbonLib, MRJ, and Quicktime updated.
