Howdy, all. I've spent the last three days on eBay in a frustrating attempt to pick up a PowerBook 1400. I ended up three auctions later with one I didn't catch in time, and two that went for insane amounts. And about now, I've had enough bidding and waiting around to do for quite awhile.
I would like to buy a 1400, either c or cs, 117, 133, or 166. This is what it must have: good physical condition at least 32 MB of RAM The CD-ROM Drive (the internal of any speed) A good battery (2 hours on a charge would be "good") AC Adapter An Ethernet PC Card of some variety. I've seen six auctions that have completed recently (perhaps minus the Ethernet card, which I was told is worth $10-$20) on eBay for this exact scenario for about $120-130. I believe this is fair, and would pay $150 or so shipped for such a machine and would entertain any offers around that (lower offers would work too, if you have a machine collecting dust.) I feel that someone has one of these in a closet someplace that they shelved when they got their shiny new PowerBook, and would feel better that it had a home where it was being put to good use. Now, to find them... Please e-mail me as soon as possible if you have an offer to make. Just don't make me bid. I'll come unglued, I swear. ;-) Best regards, Joshua [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
