Ya, dey groovy...love mine...though I don't use it much anymore...but I've tricked it out so much and customized the body so radically that it would be like selling my completely restored 69 Opel GT. You can buy a GT for less than 2k easy, unrestored, but someone would have to flap 15k before I'd even start talking. Course, mine has won awards for being showroom clean and mean...I suppose I could sell it in Germany...I hear the GT's are moving for a pretty penny there... My 1400? Maxed in every regard as far as it can go, upgraded to a fast 466 G3 and sheathed with a blue metal flake body and a glowing LED encrusted screen lid. It runs a wireless card, a Card Cam video input device for iSpyQ, 16 bit video out to big ol' flat screen external monitor...but what I really like about it? It feels solid...real, built to last. And I dig the oft-positively touted keyboard...and I use the irTalk all the time. I write screenplays and stageplays, and I work with a partner, and we zap files across the air all the time to synchronize texts... > Did you have one to offer me, and if so, what do you > think is fair market value for one? You apparently see them going for more than that too, and often enough that you found it worth mentioning that they were too high on ebay--how did you put it? Oh, yes..."two that went for insane amounts"...but who's to say those high prices weren't fair? The buyers of those units thought they were worth what they bid... When I have them in stock here in the NW, I don't sell them for less than $350...and as high as $500. I see other shops selling them for far more... Of course, for a base 117, 16mb ram, 750 mg hd, I wouldn't pay more than $70...but that's not what you want. Have fun hunting. More importantly, have fun tricking it out once you get one...I did. > Do other similar PBs get better battery life, say, the > 3400? The 3400 rocks on battery life. I don't know battery tech so I don't know why that it is...but the batteries just plain work on a 3400.
