It isn't cheap, but Starry Night Pro apparently does this, and to a lesser extent Starry Night Backyard. I gave my mother a version without the satellite tracking and she enjoyed it (but lost the license in a hard drive crash! Waah!). There was a version for 68k macs, I think you'd have to ask them directly. For MacOS X, a look at freshmeat.net yeilds some interesting results: something called Celestia has a MacOS X port, and it looks promising, another project called Satellitarium looks more focused, but it's based on the X Window System and early beta. SaVi looks pretty promising, but I couldn't immediately see a MacOS X port. It uses TCL/TK, so porting might not be bad. Stellarium has a MacOS X port, but I didn't see anything about artificial satellites... I didn't see the OpenGL based simulator I was specifically looking for- I wish I could remember the name. BTW, beware of Freshmeat! It's addictive... -- Dana [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
