I once bought a 3400 logic board and it did not work. It would 'bong'
but then stop. After VERY close examination of the board (magnifying
glass) I found no less than 17 cracked solder joints of the RAM chips'
pins on the board. I am refering to the 16MB of RAM which is soldered
to the board, not any extra RAM modules. Anyway, I resoldered the
joints and it worked perfectly. Definately worth a little time spent
with a magnifying glass.
