I saved the settings, but it did not appear to assign an ip address.

uh. how exactly do i go about doing that?

i'm reasonably sure. it's not telling to eject the card due to the absence
of the correct drivers, and it shows up on the desktop. i suppose i could
ping it... uh. can you do that in mac os?
