>Here is the instructions for charging the portable stylewriter battery.
To Charge the Battery:
    a) Make sure the printer is plugged in and turned off, and the battery switch (the
slider on the back of the printer near the left rear corner) is on (in the I
position).
    b) Hold down the ON LINE button and press and hold down the POWER button. The
printer beeps.
    c) Release the POWER button, keeping the ON LINE button down. The printer
beeps again.
    d) Release the ON LINE button. The POWER light blinks while the battery is
charging, which should take about 10 hours. When the battery is completely charged,
the POWER light will stop blinking, and the printer will turn off automatically.
For best battery life and performance, let the battery
run down completely, then charge it completely. Slide the battery switch to the off
(O) position when not using the printer.
When the battery power is getting low, the POWER light blinks and the ON LINE
and ERROR lights are off. You can continue printing for a short while before you
need to charge the battery. You can also continue printing if you plug in the power
adapter or install a charged battery.
