The Floppy will work, the ZIP probably will work, and the CD won't work.
You'll be able to tell by looking at the expansion bay of your 3400c. See
that little door that opens to let the CD in and is shut when the Floppy is
in? Any expansion module that is so big it requires use of the fancy door
will NOT work in the 5300. The door is there so that the 3400c could also
use 5300/190 sized modules and not look ugly with a big gap. Generally
speaking, anything that is smaller and doesnt use the door should work fine
in the 5300.

Now a question: Why do you want to go from a lovely 3400c down to a 5300c?

The 5300c is terribly slow (especially compared to a 3400c), has a much
smaller screen, lower resolution, no CD expandability, no internal modem,
quite possibly the worst power adapter design ever in history, short lasting
batteries (It cannot use your 3400c's LIONs), brittle case plastics, and one
lousy speaker (where your 3400 has 4 excellent speakers that sound pretty
good together).
