Hey all. still struggling with my 3400. I have a
serious question.

When I opened the case and looked at the PRAM battery,
it said "Nidec made in Japan, 5v .09amp" and a bunch
of other numbers.

I just called several battery stores here in town,
having heard that Batteries Plus can sometimes get
pram and do rebuilds. The first place I called
identified the battery and gave me a part number, They
said they don't keep it in stock but they could order
it. The second place found a PRAM listed for the
3400, but he said his part showed a 7v .06amp battery.
The last place I called couldn't ID the battery or
find it in the catalog, but told me to pull my battery
and bring it down, and they can rebuild it.

Should I take what's behind curtain number 1, curtain
number two, or curtain number three? Or should I just
keep the cash I have in my hand, Monty? What do you
think?

This is a used 3400 which was working just fine until
a few weeks ago. So I know it was working with the
battery that was in it. I don't know if that's the
original battery. So now I'm udgy about just replacing
it.

Please advise.
