Undo the screw holding the drive frame to the Powerbook and gently lift up,
you get an inch or two of free cable.

The cable removes from the drive.

Well it does push on to the logic board as well as the drive

Need to completely strip the machine to undo it from the logic board end.

Er, no need to remove the logic board to do a PPC upgrade, it only replaces
the processor.
