Hello Maxtek: I think that you bent one or more of the memory connector pins on the daughtercard side of that particular connector. I have cursed the engineer or bean counter who put this connector in PowerBooks many times. Most of the other connectors in the PowerBook are designed so much better. The cure (hopefully) is to straighten the pins so that they line up _exactly_ with the others. Also, check the memory card side of the connector. It can be scored by bent pins and _rebend_ the pins you just straightened. You must be very careful when you reinsert these memory cards. Take your time and make absolutely certain that the card is: 1. centered in the daughtercard "fence", by this, I mean, make sure that there is an equal (very small) distance between both sides of the memory card and the metal shield around the daughtercard area, and, 2. that the edge of the memory card that is towards you is on _top_ of the small metal supports and that there is a slightly greater amount of distance between this edge of the memory card and the edge of the "fence" that is closest to you. I _really_ hope this takes care of your problem because the exact same thing happened to me with my 32 MB PB 540c. I was a little upset for a day until I pinpointed changing the memory card as when all quit. Good Luck Sincerely yours, Grizzlygiant -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
