Hi Listers,

First off thanks to all the replies to my pc card modem speed issue. I am
investigating and troubleshooting everything that was mentioned...I
appreciate it. One lister did ask if it was the phone line. My desktop mac
gets consistent 48,000 speeds with the same line.

Ok on to my emergency...I have two PB 520c's. I just removed a 32 meg ram
card from mine and put it into the other Powerbook. Piece of cake until I
tried to boot it. I got the 6 tone crash sound (3 tones up and 3 tones
down). I tried to reboot and than nothing. No sound nothing except the hard
drive spinning. I read my about the power manager and did that procedure. It
enabled the PB to boot again and I got the regular tone and than bam, the
crash tone again.

So I took out the 32mb card and put back in the 8mb card and the SAME thing.
The crash tone.

Any ideas? Did I toast the daughterboard? And if I did, how?

Please help and thanks.
