Speaking of wifi cards, anyone have or use one of these Proxim Harmony series cards?: <http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo =579897&sku=C26-1076%20P>
$15 for an 802.11b WiFi card looks to be a pretty-darn-good deal, but I can't find any trace of MacOS support on Proxim's website. Supposedly these Harmony cards _are_ supported by the open source driver under X <http://wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/faq.html#supported> so could be a good choice for a Wallstreet or Lombard under X.x.
I couldn't resist ordering a couple just to find out, so when they arrive I'll report their MacOS/X-compatibility. <G> I just remembered the topic, obviously if there are no drivers for classic MacOS (ie: for PBs 500 and 5300) then all this is rather OT. <G>

Here's a link to all the Harmony products' software:

No Mac stuff there. A couple of their press releases say that the Harmony line is for "enterprise" users, so you know who probably got left out. :-(
However, the folks I bought my Skyline card from also carry the Harmony card ($25 versus the $27 I paid for the Skyline). They say that the card is MacOS compatable. I don't now if they just copied the info from the Skyline card info or what, but you could give them a call, I guess.

Here's what the page says:
"11 Mbps maximum performance up to 150 feet, Supports industry-standard WEP security, IEEE 802.11b Wi-Fi Compatible, Works with Macintosh and Windows laptop computers."
That's what they say about the Skyline card, too. FWIW.
