Definitely get more memory. Running 8.6 on a 3400 on 16 megs of real RAM is a waste, the poor thing must be slower than a 5300. It is eminently capable of surfing the Internet with a full complement of RAM. As for the browser, Cyberdog works, but it's pretty outdated now, and rather slow on top of that. You really want to make your browsing fast, there's only one answer--iCab. It's the only browser I'll use under the classic MacOS. I have Nutscrape on my 3400, but only because I couldn't get a certain plug-in to install without a so-called "mainstream browser" installed.
