Can't near as I can tell, _unless_ :
A) find a way to stuff a DVD drive onto a 3400's EBM bus

or (or more probably '_and_')

b) find some other DVD player that will work in your chosen OS environment

re: A) - I have not discovered an easy way to add a DVD-ROM drive to a
3400/Kanga. If anyone out there has a clue how to do this I'm all eyes.

re: B) - I have not tried to use DVD playing sw other than the Apple DVD
Player. I know there are other players and I'd be pleased to learn of
some alternatives I could try, I jsut haven't had the time to go
searching for 'em.

I have not tried using a 3400 with X, so cannot say how that would work.
I suspect it might actually be easier to make work under X as there are
tons of DVD utils available that just aren't an option with classic
MacOS. As I mentioned previously, I _was_ able to use a FW DVD drive
under X where it refused to work under OS9 (tho on a G3 DT w/Radeon, not
a PB.)

Hmm, which makes me wonder . . . would a FW DVD drive be able to play
DVDs under X on a Wallstreet or Lombard _without_ using a cardbus decoder
card? Hmmmmmmm . . . must. . . try . . . it . . . out . . .
